Mambo

Mambo Dance

Mambois a Latin dance of Cuba, which was developed in the 1940s when the music genre of the same name became popular throughout Latin America. Later on it became the most fashionable Latin dance in the United States.

Differing slightly from the Salsa, Mambo “breaks” on the second count of a music measure, which provides an excellent opportunity for the student to improve musicality along with the many physical skills the dance offers.
Perhaps most importantly, Mambo teaches the joyful “soul” of how to Latin dance. It is “The Dance” from the very popular movie – “Dirty Dancing! You’ll definitely enjoy this dance!
